The Django's Doggy Daycare Team

Dan - Owner

I’m Dan! In 2016, I was working at my previous job, and another dog walking was taking my Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie, Django, out for a walk everyday while I was at work. I would take him out for a big run before and after work, and I found myself thinking ‘why do all of these companies only walk dogs, why not take them to run/play?!’ - and in that moment DDD was born! I’ve been running Django’s for six years now, and I’m proud that with all the amazing DDD staff we’ve turned it into such a great, fun and happy place for the pups to play, socialise and grow.

Favourite dog breed: German Shepard (don’t tell Django!)

Jo

I’m Jo, I’ve been working at Django’s since October 2021. I left a career in mental health nursing after the stress of working through the pandemic and finally following my dream of working with dogs, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

My favourite part of the job is building trust and bonding with the dogs: I love how excited they are when we pick them up.

My favourite thing to do when I’m not walking dogs is to treat myself to a nice, long, lead-free walk!

I don’t have a favourite dog breed as I love dogs for their individual personalities, but I have a special love for Romanian street dogs—I’ve got my own Romanian dog called Juno who has been running my life for me since 2019.

Charlotte

I’m Charlotte, I started working at Django’s in July 2021 after many years of working as a children’s nanny.

In 2009 my husband and I went to Spain to volunteer at a chimpanzee rescue centre where on 6th January 2011 a handsome stray dog arrived at our door. We fell in love, and we became Enzo’s Mama and Papa.

I wanted to work with dogs because I feel more affiliation with them than I do with humans, and caring for them makes me happy.

The best thing about working at Django’s is watching a new dog’s confidence grow.

Favourite dog breed: a Saluki, closely followed by a Galgo.
